Diptyque launched the pop-up store in Paragon Shopping Centre as a celebration of a new perfume scent called “Eau de Minthé” and their 50th year in the industry. The pop-up store has occurred for 6 days from 3rd May to 6th May 2019. As I’m a big fan of Diptyque so I wouldn’t miss a chance to visit this place. The pop-up store has very limited space, however the brand manage to create the magnificent booth and decoration. At the front store, they displayed all the their perfume on the Diptyque perfume bottled-like metal shelves. Visitors can pick up the special 50 over design post cards, write message and drop on the box they provided. The brand will manage to give out to your receiver only within Singapore region. The post card holder privilege are use the post card to redeem the free sample gift at Diptyque store island wide!.
The exclusivity of this pop-up store isn’t only the giveaway free sample postcard, but also the release of 15ml size for S$32 Eau de toilette comes in 20 iconic scents, which I’m very excited since they don’t sells this size in general. I’m a perfume addictive and always spray the perfume during the day, so I has always wanted to use Diptyque travel size since it’s easy to carry around in pocket!. More than that, they offer 15% off for all the products in pop-up!, this including all scents of candles, parfume, Eau de toilette, solid perfumes, room spray, and etc. It’s like i’m living in heaven now since they never do discount in-store before, and this would be the chance for me to buy their products in lower prices.
Aside from shopping, the Diptyque staff take me to their history room that displayed 3 iconic perfume plus a new launch of new scent. The first one is l’Eau, it’s their first ever scents that invented by three founders; Desmond Knox-Leet, Yves Coueslant, and Christiane Gautrot. The idea is to create the unisex scent for both men and women. I like the smell since it is very oriented-scent, and gives you the sophisticated feeling. Next one is the all time best-selling Philosykos, which I currently using it. This is a woody, warm, and lush scent that made from black pepper, fig tree leaf, and fig wood, gives me a fuzzy and sweet warm feeling like I’m walking in the lush jungle, the scent is very soothing and calm my energy.
The next one is Do Son, this scent is created form the memory of founder Yves Coueslant visited Vietnam. The scent is floral, and top noted smell is very strong scent of “Jasmine”. Jasmine flowers is used for several in South East Asia tradition ceremony and culture rite. Hence, this scent represent SEA countries very well. The back ground create a very magnificent bamboo with leaves and display the Do Son in very unique way. I couldn’t get over with the store decorations honestly, it’s just so beautiful. The last one stop is the new launch of “Eau De Minthé” this scent has inspired by the greek mythology, which they display the illustration short history about a woman name Minthé who was transformed into fragrance herbs god Hades. This scent is a oriented with minty elements. Gives you a fresh and bright feeling, that I think is more suitable for men. The scent is pretty strong and i think it’d be better if you use during evening dinner / events for women.
The overall experienced was very impressive and fulfilled by their excellent services and event marketing tactics. The Diptyque products already well-made and rich in heritage itself, I like how every perfumes has story behind itself. It made me learnt that scent is very important to enhance the memories about place and stories at the times. It helps to relieve your stress and boost the mood. By using Diptyuqe perfume is such enjoyable feeling due to its authentic scent. I’ve learnt on how they do marketing, such as the giveaway post card and free-samples, it inspires me on my future career as marketer and how could I create a great experience in event / pop-up like Diptyque did.
