Clothes Styling Field Trip @ The Fashion Pulpit

On week 11 of our Personal Development class, we visit The Fashion Pulpit which is the second hand fashion label based in Singapore. A fashion space for everyone who values the two most essential S in fashion, Style and Sustainability. Singapore's first open space for Swapping, Upcycling, Tailoring, and Learning Fashion Tricks (Thefashionpulpit facebook, 2018).

The class divided into 4 groups where we tasked to styles our friends with selected garments from The Fashion Pulpit. For my group, consists of Me, Milly, Yubin, and Minjoo. We decided to use Yubin as our model and the rest needed to come up with styling ideas, design flat lay and taking pictures.

I searched on WGSN Instagram to look up on fashion trends and what’s upcoming. From there I tried to find the match pieces outfits for Yubin. Since Red and Pink is on trend in this season, so I selected the violet pants match with black crop top. The last piece will be the statement. So I pick red jacket to compliment with the top & the bottom. Another outfit I selected is the leopard tee with black jeans skirt matching with black boots. However, since most of my group mates doesn’t agree to shoot with the outfit so I decide to eliminate it after all.

At the end, we come up with 3 different outfits above. The first one is monotone colour outfits with sophisticated look. Snake print dress with black leather jacket and boots. While another one is more chic with playful colour like red and violet with sneakers where you can wear from day to night. The last one will be Chinese New Year-like dress with cute shoes.

This field trip is fun and makes me understand each friend’s style better. I love to do styling and I’m happy that The Fashion Pulpit chose our group’s outfit to features on their Instagram & Facebook! :-)).
