Last month in August, I attended the Fendi F/W winter 2018 exclusive event at MBS. Since I’m holding MBS membership card, so I got the privilege to be one of the 1st guest to view the newest Men’s collection & experience premium whiskies. I be able to earn 2X Rewards (6%) on all my purchase at Fendi all day!. Sounds interesting isn’t it? but I wish I could afford to buy one of their clothes! XD. However, since I got the invitation via SMS from MBS, I quickly booked it and be able to get 2 free redeems for attending event. I found this is a good opportunity for me to explore Fendi’s new collection and how they organised event.

On the event day, I bring one of my friend to this event and I would say that we have such a blast time there, even in just a short period of time!. We attended event with smart casual theme outfit (theme was set by MBS) So, I picked the outfit that I felt most comfy but at the same time looks formal, which is black suit, grey vest, and beige trouser (Refers to the photos above). I find it’s funny since Me & Hannah dress almost the same from head to toe, you can see from above photos.

During the event, we were treated nicely by the staffs at Fendi, and they explained to us what do they organised at the event. So, first we were participated with other guests in Whiskey tasting session. Which organized by Glenmorangie company. In this session, they have whiskey specialist, whom describes the different types of whiskeys. So, they gave us to try 3 different flavours of whiskeys that made from 3 different ingredients. First one made from Toffee & Vanilla, second one made from Apricot & Plum and last one made from Bali rice. After I tasted, I love the one that made from Toffee & Vanilla the most! You can smell its sweetness and at the same time you enjoyed while drinking!. It’s a whole new experiences since I rarely know about whiskey and how they made it. So it’s good new experiences for me.

After 15 mins of the whiskey tasting session, I moved on to explore the new Men’s collection. They only showcased a few men’s clothes, bags, and accessories. I find their new men’s collection is more into street style and more playful with their prints. They plays with contemporary prints and plaids. You could tell that Fendi try to reach millennials consumer, since their logo is tend to be more minimalistic and youthful style.
Fendi has always been one of my favourite italian luxury brand. Due to its women’s wear design, runway show, and their aesthetic with signature fur bags always captures my attention. However, their new men’s F/W 18 collection is not as impressive as I expected. But I believe that there are many millennials out there that would love this collection due to its youthful street style.
