Alesce is a faith-based company that aims to spark conversations that inspire women to live well in today's world, creating content and safe spaces for expression and experimentation of ideas and dreams (Alesce instagram, n.d.). Their mission is to empower the modern day woman and celebrating their beginnings with 13 passionate, creative and entrepreneurial women and their brands. Alesce has launch party event at Seragoon, at the entry there’ll be a registration booth where they collected the entry fee from $15 to $30 (you can get the Alesce souvenir eg. tote bag, magazine, and stickers).
Inside the event features art market, live booths, where you can try something new & treat yourself to exclusive and unique experiences the event consists of DIY pop up stores and workshop. The first shop that I visit is the bakery shop, they provided free mini chocolate tarts and $1 of macaroon for customer to insert and create the flavour by themselves. I have a short session of how to create macaroon and was enjoy myself very much. The second booth was my favourite, which is “The Brave Assembly” booth shop, they sold those calligraphy card with motivation/ encourage quotes including small workshop. I had chance to do water colouring on the hand draw card and unleashed my creativity. I did it with Hanna and Thatha, two of my Indonesian friends and we had so much fun.
Others shop are those handmade accessories like earrings, rings, bracelet, and sticker nails. In the last room, they consist of free food and beverages for guests to enjoyed at event. After back home, I have chance to check out on their Alesce magazine, and it was so thoughtful and full of amazingly cute layout
What I’ve experience from this event is really encourage me to create brand for myself, I got many new creative ideas on how to create my layout for retail store and to create the booth / organise flat lay for my graduation ceremony in my Bachelor.
The disadvantage about this event is their space uses, the space was really limited, and hardly to walk from place to place. Other than that, I can see what millennials in Singapore interested in these days in terms of fashion, and how do they dress in event day, their fashion is kinda similar with Thai’s millennials that is mostly feminine and elegant that similar to love bonito kinda style. There’re more than 100 guests in that day, which indicate many of Singaporean still interested to DIY and art workshop. Since this is the launch for new brand event, so I didn’t expected to see many people as well.
